Our Goal

We have been serving Southern California for 30+ years. We founded our non-profit organization in 2017 to help fight inequities and give back to the community. One way we do this is by providing Psych Associates in underprivileged communities training in neurofeedback, cognitive behavior therapy, and psychometry. The participants learn skills under licensed therapists that they can take with them out in the community and help their patients move forward. Everyone deserves access to mental health services and FTCF is at the forefront of making this a reality.
We want to train as many Psych Associates as possible and continue to grow our organization. We hope you consider donating to this cause!

OUR MISSION

OUR STORY

The FamilyTime Center 30 years ago was just that, a center for families to be able to come together and find resources that helped them stay together.

Fast forward to 2017, the center has evolved and changed a lot- but our mission has always stayed the same- Building Community. The FamilyTime Center Foundation was established as a separate entity in order to provide scholarships to Psych Associates who want to further their education but cannot afford it. This is one way that we can give back to the community and help those who need it most.

So far, we have been able to help many Psych Associates gain the education they need to help others. We are looking forward to continuing our work in the years to come! Thank you for your support!

Our founder

Doctor Ronald Kaufman, PsyD, has more than 20 years of experience in clinical psychotherapy. He specializes in cognitive-behavioral-based therapies and biofeedback training. Education is at the front of Dr. Kaufman’s approach, teaching and helping those who need counseling how to manage their lives while outside of therapy.

Executive Director

Michael Kaufman is the Executive Director of the FamilyTime Center. He specializes in the day-to-day operation of the FamilyTime Center and oversees the clinical staff, program development, and fund-raising initiatives. Michael also started the FamilyTime Center Foundation, which provides Psych Associates in underprivileged communities training in neurofeedback, cognitive behavior therapy, and psychometry.
